The following groups are made up of duets & larger groups who use a wide variety of Traditional Instruments to perform the Traditional Music of Ulster in concert halls & various events including educational ones too.

They are presented here in alphabetical order. If you can help me with more details, or know of, or are a member, of a group not mentioned below, but would like to be on this list, please send me your groups details & I'll be happy to include them.

‘DIFFERENT DRUMS' s3
Different Drums brings the indigenous drums of Ireland, the Lambeg and the Bodhran together with the Uilleann, whistles, guitar, 4 voices and is driven by the engine of the African djembe. Adding myriad percussion and other instruments to original and traditional songs makes a unique and exciting combination of traditions and sounds. A unique celebration of cultural diversity and linkages.

‘FIDDLE STEEKS ULSTER-SCOTS ORCHESTRA’ s3
The Fiddle Steeks Ulster-Scots Orchestra covers young and old, has grown rapidly to 30 in recent years, increasing in skills, repertoire and professionalism under the guidance of musical director Keith Lyttle.

‘MANDRAGORA’ s3
Mandragora are multi-instrumentalists Sabine & Dick Glasgow, & they have given their 'LYRE to LAPTOP' musical presentation, using 50 instruments, to many Schools & Historical Societies. As members of the 'War of the Three Kingdoms Society', they give their musical presentation in authentic style period costume, demonstrating the development of musical instruments in Ulster from pre-history to the present day.

6 piece North Antrim group who promote the music & rhyme of Ulster using a wide variety of instruments including Scottish Smallpipes, Northumbrian Pipes, Fife, Fiddle, Flute, Drum, Harp, Mandolin, Whistle & Antrim’s very own Hammered Dulcimer.

‘ULSTER SCOTS FOLK ORCHESTRA’ s3
The Orchestra's performances give an informative insight into the Ulster-Scots cultural heritage, but more importantly, their high energy and humour, provide great entertainment. They passionately represent the Ulster-Scots musical genre in their performance while rejuvenating the old styles with a fresh energetic approach.

‘WILLIE DRENNAN’ s3
Willie works as a professional musician and storyteller. He plays Fiddle, flutes, drums, banjo & mandolin, has recently published a book & is the founding member of the 'Ulster Scots Folk Orchestra'.
