Speakers confirmed so far for 2006, are: * * * * * * * * * No 1 John McLean ~ " The Fife - Instrument & Music " (John promotes the Fife with his excellent website ~ Fife &Drum) Wullie Robinson & John McLean Fifing in the late 80's * * * * * * * * * No 2 Nat Magee ~ " John Rea - The Man & his Music " (Nat, a relative of John Rea, is highly qualified to give us an insight into this man & his music) William Rea & Nat Magee 'In full Flight' at CDF05, both playing exact copies of John Rea's Dulcimer. [Photo by R & B Davis] * * * * * * * * * No 3 Charlie Gillen ~ " North Antrim Rhymes & Rhymers " (A talk on the local Rhymers who influenced him, with examples of their work) Charlie Gillen 'The Bard of Ballycarry', in his natural surroundings. * * * * * * * * * No 4 Rick Davis ~ " From Ulster to Appalachia " (Rick will look at Old-Time Tunes and their Ulster connections) * * * * * * * * * No 5 John Moulden ~ " Songs of the Sea " (Songs on Fishing, Wrecks, Emigration, Naval Engagements, Female Sailors, all with a high degree of Locality & illustrated with Pictures, Songs & Music) * * * * * * * * * Remember, if there is something you would particularly like to see as part of the festival weekend, which we have not included, please send us your suggestions when you fill out your Registration Form.
